Secondary PTE Teacher Evaluators

We need you! Contribute your expertise and commit to helping Idaho adopt strong curricular materials for use in Idaho. Join fellow professional educators from around the state, have a say in the materials you use, and get credit for it!

What's required? Evaluators will first conduct a content review of materials in May and early June. Curricular materials will be shipped to your home or workplace for review, and you may keep those materials for use in your own program. You will utilize the applicable content rubric to complete the initial review. On June 15-17, 2015, evaluators will meet at the Red Lion Downtowner to conduct a Learning Resource Evaluation Rubric and a consensus review of the same materials. You will not have to bring your materials with you, as an additional copy will be available through the State Department of Education (SDE). All normal travel expenses will be paid for or reimbursed according to state guidelines.

Evaluators have the option to register for 3 professional development credits paid for by the SDE through BSU. The credit will be documentation of the professional development and service to Idaho's schools. Sign up now to be a part of the State Curricular Materials/Textbook Selection Committee. Complete the Call for Nominations and submit it via fax or email by April 15, 2015.
