The Information Systems Technology area of study is divided into four programs: Information Support & Services, Interactive Media, Network Systems Support and Programming and Software Development. Each program offers exciting and challenging career opportuniites.
Information Systems Technology Update October 2011
Idaho currently has 28 secondary Information Systems Technology Programs that support 42 Programs of Study. The above link provides a graphic breakdown of the different Programs of Study being offered across the state as of the 2011-12 10D reporting cycle which closed October 15th. 96% of all IST programs have implemented the required TI-0550 Fundamentals of Information Systems Technology course into their program. It is expected that all programs will implement this course prior to the start of the 2012-13 school year.
As of the end of this reporting period the IST Program Update link reflects the current status of programs of study that would be considered complete. Although we now have 42 active programs of study offering Information Systems Technology studies only 40% of the programs would be considered complete.
