Career Clusters

Idaho has adopted the 16 National Career Clusters.

CAREER CLUSTERS

  • Provide 80 career pathways over the 16 Career Clusters that identify a broad array of careers in each pathway -- a pathway model

  • Give opportunities for matching student interests, skills, and education requirements to careers within each cluster

  • Identify knowledge and skills needed for career success in each Cluster
  
  • Help improve student achievement by connecting school and the workplace, thus making school relevant for students

  • Give structure for sequences of courses also known as Programs of Study from high school to college and/or the workplace
