Linking Advisory to Other School Programs

Regardless of the school program, there should be a common thread among all of them, whether that is a focus goal for behavior, achievement, involvement, or something else. Ultimately everything done in a school is focused on the student in terms of their achievement and transition to the next level. Undoubtedly, school programs are diverse enough that they approach common goals in different manners. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the advisement committee is made up of a diverse group of individuals who represent the wider context of what the school has to offer. The varied roles that the team members play will help to ensure that the advisement program has relevance to every other program in the school.
