*FYI an updated delegate packet will be coming soon*

National FFA Western Region Vice President

As a high school athlete Caleb Gustin of New Mexico wasn't the star player. He never took the buzzer shot, but he did the best job of keeping the bench warm and the team hydrated as he could.

"Leadership doesn't always have to exist in the public eye, as I once believed," Gustin reflects. "Do we serve by leading or lead by serving? Although I was not playing on the court and shining as the star, I acted behind the scenes as a motivator for the rest of my team."

. Learn more about Wes here.

Delegates should do the following prior to SLC:

  • Meet with their chapter advisor(s) to discuss the delegate issues.
  • Solicit input from their chapter about each issue.
  • Be familiar with their specific committee issue.
  • Be familiar with FFA in Idaho and be interested in advancing the organization.
  • Locate their chapter's delegate voting sign and bring it with them to SLC.

Several delegates each year will be selected by the State FFA Officers to serve as committee chairpersons. These individuals are usually district officers. Committee chairpeople have an additional responsibility to report out their committee findings to the entire SLC assembly during the sixth general session on Saturday morning.
